7. Following up on my last message… I worked as a GO (lifeguard, land sports + stage management internship) between 1982 and 1986 (if I remember correctly), but not as a village chief. Warmest greetings to Myriam (village chief) and Bob (sports manager) in San Ambroggio (1983, I think), where Myriam never got to present the team after the last performance, "Man of La Mancha," in which she played Dulcinea. There were so many emotions on stage and it was a real pleasure working with them all season. Hugs to everyone, and especially to Guy (sports manager in Marrakech, 1982), who asked Myriam to cast me as Don Quixote. Thank you all, I can't forget you… 😉😘

                My best memory is of Myriam Karahoanessian, who welcomed me one day in Eilat, greeting me with "Hello Indiana Jones!" I had just crossed almost the entire desert on foot and camel between Pisinne (a village on Iran's southern border) and Karachi (my car broke down in the middle of the desert after the last checkpoint – the engine oil pan had exploded!). She introduced me to Omar Sharif, who was living the good life, playing cards 20 hours a day, yes indeed!
                A fabulous, extraordinary woman, she devalued cementics because no compliment, no definition can be applied to her, she was far too superior!

       1. Hello Lionel, I knew Alain the plumber (I met him again in January 1990 in Cancun), there was also Eric the carpenter, Marie-Angèle the lingerie assistant, and I was the lingerie manager (so maintenance team), from October 1988 to the end of May-June 1989.

I was an excursion GO for several years at Club Med during the era of Jean-Pierre Franquin, Bambi, Philippe Calvet, Arlette Gilles, Francis di Landro, and others. So, from 1986 to 1992. Gregolimano, Faru, Kos, Djerba la Douce (it was amazing!!), Cargese (it was a bomb scare!), Foca, Marrakech, Metaponto, Opio, Marbella.
    A huge thank you to the wonderful village chiefs and especially to Philippe, who gave me four weeks back then to try working at a startup (Amadeus) and offered to take me back if it didn't work out. Philippe, I'm always grateful, and I've been working there as a trainer since 1992. Thank you so much for the best training in the world in a splendid atmosphere. Thank you for everything. Doris

18. Excellent work! Well done and a huge thank you. I was a GO (Gentil Organisateur) hairdresser during the summer of 1992 in Marbella at the Hotel Don Miguel with Éric Voyer as village chief. It was also the exhibition in Seville. Then, during the winter of 1992-93, I was still in Marbella but with Francis Dilandro as village chief. And for the summer of 1993, in Djerba la Douce, I was again a GO hairdresser with Jean-Pierre Grand as village chief… so many good memories…

       . No, I think I saw it on the list, but I didn't see Pop or Pop's chefdv in Santa-Julia, Corsica, in 1966. It was a village of huts where Gilbert de Caprera's son took me to Santa-Julia in a Riva-type inboard boat and instructed Pop to find me a free hut.
       By sheer coincidence, I ran into the coach of the Val-d'Isère junior club at noon at the bar where Gilbert's son had arranged to meet me. A few months earlier, he had asked me to join his club after my victory in the Val-d'Isère downhill race, when I was with the GUC (Grenoble University Club with Joubert), and he was in charge of water skiing for the summer!
       Even more astonishing, he had hired one of his nephews as Mr. Gilbert Klein, who inexplicably left us mid-season. We learned the reason for his departure a few days later, in the early morning of July 4, 1966, on the platform of Grenoble station, upon the arrival of the train from Paris. We were leaving, necessity being the mother of invention, arm in arm, for an 18-month induction into the famous 6th BCA, the only Alpine Chasseurs battalion to possess a red fourragère, a searing reminder of the disastrous Battle of Sidi Brahim.
       Thus, throughout our training, we were roommates.
       After that, I lost track of him because, having completed my officer training (EOR) to choose my branch of service, I was assigned to the BCA (Alpine Infantry Battalion) because I was a skiing fanatic. I was given the rank of officer cadet, that is, second lieutenant, while he remained a private and was therefore forbidden from addressing me informally! Appointed to the competition team in Chamrousse, we never had the opportunity to see each other again. He was demobilized at headquarters in Grenoble, and I was demobilized in Chamrousse. Although we were barely thirty kilometers apart, the two locations maintained a degree of independence that prevented us from ever seeing each other again!
       Subliminal desire, taking root in the foundation of a subconscious that was undoubtedly nourished by a multipolar shift from the first second we met, I was the client, he had the task, then inevitably came the time after the classes, categorical segregation, imposed by the constraints of the military regulations, our assignments different for each of us, he having to be content with the mess hall, officers we had lunch in the mess, same for the cafeteria, where an identical segregation was in place. Each of us returned to our homes, from an existence shaped into a sociological construct by the provisions of personal endowment elaborating its own devolved conductance, the years grew bolder to make us prisoners of time maliciously worn down, we each took on habits, having had the opportunity to approach show biz and know St Tropez, I acquired a property in the commune of Ramatuelle and it was quite logical that I began to frequent Pampelonne, then a particular beach, the Papou Club, and one day, an incredible surprise, we both found ourselves in our bathing suits, the first moments of astonishment diluted in a shared pleasure, I tried to inquire about his situation, and there he announced to me with a heavy embarrassment, that in these places of idle distraction he was the beach attendant!
       I had to hide my genuine astonishment. Many years had passed, and I thought that, like me, he had taken advantage of the economic boom known as the "Thirty Glorious Years" to build a successful business, ensuring him comfort, abundance, even opulence. And there I found him, in the prime of life, living on tips laden with contempt.
       I stayed away from Pampelonne for a few days, and when I returned, I learned that the day after our meeting, he had resigned.
       Decades passed, but I never saw him again.

20. Hello everyone. I was a GO (Gendarmerie Officer) in Zinal from 1973 to 1975. Then I was in Kusadasi and in charge of equipment at Cavaserail in 1976. After that, I was in charge of maintenance at Kaya Oteli in Uchisar until the end of 1979. In 1980, I was at Les Restanques. So many good memories! I recognized some of the village chiefs I worked with. The best one was Mrs. Touze, so kind, and Claude Besson. Thank you, thank you….
